We have had some clients talk to us lately about some legitimate reviews that they have got on their Google My Business profile that just are not showing up or they disappeared.
We’ve seen this a few times and after some research, they’re not the only ones, there are tons of people online who are complaining about the same thing where legitimate reviews are just not showing up. The business owner cannot see them.
Sometimes the user that left the review could see it, but on the back end, the business owner is unable to see that review or respond to it, and Google knows that it’s an issue.
There’s a couple of things you can do if you have got some legitimate reviews and they are not showing up and it is frustrating you, you want to get those reinstated, and you want those to be visible. One thing to do is check and make sure that you have not recently had your account suspended or reinstated.
If you were in Google jail for a little bit then that could be the issue, but more than likely it is not. If that is not the case, then you need to reach out to Google support through the Google My Business portal at business.google.com and let them know with some screenshots of what you are seeing. Get a screenshot from your client who’s left the review. Get as much as you can collect and then send that to Google My Business support and let them know what is going on.
